Does beard balm/oil work for smaller beards?

Yes. In fact, it is just as important to nourish smaller beards, hence our slogan, no beard left behind. Toronto Beard Company beard oils and balms are meant to soften your beard, minimize irritation and itchiness as well as help reduce beard-druff no matter the size.

Does beard balm help my skin from being itchy/rashy/flaky?

Our hand picked oils and butters are specifically chosen to do just that. Jojoba, Argan and Macadamia Nut oils have amazing healing power minimizing irritation and beard-druff. They also help in reducing split hairs and keeping your beard nourished throughout the day with just one application.

How do I apply the beard balm/oil?

How To Apply Beard Oil:

Place 3-4 drops of oil in your palm and rub into your beard and skin underneath
making sure that it’s well absorbed. Comb through and shape (if you are not using the beard balm). We recommend using this oil with the balm for complete protection of your prized possession. Use more if needed, depending on the size and thickness of your beard. Please shake well before use.

How To Apply Beard Balm:

Best used on a damp beard, ideally after a shower. For optimum results, please use beard balm AFTER beard oil application. With the back of your thumbnail, scrape a small amount of balm placing into your hands and rubbing it until it has fully melted. Massage the balm well into your beard and skin underneath, making sure that it is being absorbed. Comb through and shape as desired.

What's the difference between beard oil and beard balm?

Beard Oil and Beard Balm have similar advantages. The Beard Oil penetrates and absorbs not only into your beard, but also your skin underneath better. Beard Balm has the same ingredients with the added Shea Butter and Beeswax. This helps shape your beard for additional hold and conditions as well, locking in the moisture to protect your beard throughout the day.

How much do I use? How long will the oil or balm last me?

We recommend a standard rule of 3-4 drops. Depending on the size of your beard, you may want to adjust that amount. Our 1oz bottle of oil and 2oz tin of balm should last approx. 3 months with daily use.

If I cant grow a beard or my beard is patchy, will this give me the beard I desperately want?

While we can’t guarantee that using Toronto Beard Company products will grow you a miracle beard, daily use of our beard oil and beard balm will help rejuvenate your skin and hair on your face. It will help minimize split hair allowing your beard to grow in healthier and thicker. We also don’t recommend stroking your beard throughout the day (as tempting as it may be). This will do the opposite effect of what we are trying to achieve here. Stroking your beard will slowly remove the natural and added vitamins your beard needs to grow so please do yourself a favour and leave your beard alone.

How often should I use beard oils/balms?

Beard oil should be part of your daily routine no matter the size of beard. The additional vitamins within each of the hand picked oils are meant to soften, rejuvenate, and moisturize your beard leaving it looking alive, healthy and fresh.
